Independent Rap/Hip-Hop Artist – The Technician (A.K.A. Timothy Jenkins)
Music has been “my thing” since I was about 11 years old. I started out in the 90’s with an old Yamaha keyboard, a small computer microphone, and a dual cassette tape player, switch the tapes back and forth to dub the track, just me and the homies trying to make the type of music we grew up on in the hood. So, I kind of have a 90’s hip-hop style.
Over the years as I grew up, had jobs, got married, had kids, joined the army, went to war, I tried to maintain my growth in my music but, I’ve always had to fall back due to jobs, kids, women, hard times, just life in general.
I’ve been with a few independent record labels were we had major distribution deals that fell through, rapped with a few groups, did a few shows, produced a lot of different tracks for myself, some of my associates at the time, and paying customers (when I ran a studio at the house).
At this point, I’m just ready to put the business aspect into this music and stop making nickels and dimes, hoping for some miracle to happen. Now, I’m all about marketing this music and making money. By any means necessary.
